Trained Researchers that will not research

I have trained a couple of researchers and have given then feild to reseach, but I cannot get them to research. Do you have to train them in more fields, or is there a way of activating them?

first you nead a reserch building and to chose a tech you wish to reserch

for example you have traind 1 resercher in chassis you selct a chassis reserch then click set sciantist and selct the chassis resercher

as you upgrade the reserch center you can have more reserchs upto a max of 5 per subject

center leval 1=1 scinatist center leval 3 =2scinatists center leval 5=3 scinstis center leval 7=4sciantists center leval 9=5 sciantis per sudbject catagory

for example at leval 3 rserch center you can have 2 engine sincaits working on engine tech and so on

So is it better to have 3 specialized level 5 researchers or 1 specialized level 15 researcher on a certain project. Assuming all have same specialty.

3 specialized level 5 researchers vs 1 specialized level 15 researcher

In terms of research there is no real difference, both would finish the same tech at the same time... however in order to use 3 researchers you'd need a level 5 research centre whereas you only need a level 1 to use the level 15 researcher... that said, training time of a level 15 researcher is greater than training 3 level 5s (plus you can use the level 5s immediatly after training them instead of having to wait the entire training time to use the level 15)
